Base Coffee Kitchen Bar

A heads up before I share our experience,. Base Cafe is great. The Benowa shopping centre where Base is located is very very tired and really detracts from any atmosphere. I hope something is done as it is a great spot and a great foodie location. We arrived for lunch. We liked to colours and general vibe and decided on scrambled eggs with hash browns and corn fritters and salad. Both were excellent. The lady serving was everything you would ever have wanted; warm, helpful, bright and energetic and a pure delight. The other staff we could see seemed also to share in the positive energy. The table was clean and was in a good possie. You can sit indoors or out. The detraction was the shopping centre...walls peeling paint, dirty, bike tyre skid marks all over the floor...it really needs a steam clean and paint. Plenty of parking and the menu would cater to most tastes. There was a counter with wraps and things also.

Great place, lovely staff, amazing food and smoothies. Went here almost every day whilst mum was in pindara hospital for a few weeks so i worked my way thru the menu . Favourite was prob the salmon poke bowl and thai beef salad

Great coffee and food in Benowa! Such a lovely spot! The flat white was smooth and perfectly made, the spicy pork poke bowl was full of flavor, and the beef burger was super juicy and satisfying. Great service and an amazing selection of baked goods. Can’t wait to visit again!

Having had lunches regularly at Base for a few years already, we could not believe today when Chris told us that she was not the owner of Base! We had gathered she was all this time! Observing her personal managing skills in providing the clientele with impecable service, we can only hope that the owners realise that they have a rare asset in this employee. The obvious success of your business owes much to Chris’s presence in that place! No doubt all your happy Base clients hope Chris is being fairly rewarded for her exceptional work so our service standard does not decline.

Love this cafe! especially the Chia Pots which I buy in multiples to take to work for lunch! Great coffee too. Shopping centre is slowly improving generally but as the cafe is on the outside it doesn’t matter so much that it’s tired

It was the day before Halloween and no creatures were visible except for clearance stock at the local discount store. Yes I’ve decided to visit Benowa Gardens shopping center. Today I discovered Base Kitchen and Bar for lunch. Location is just off the car park and opposite KFC but with a nice shaded screen of plants and windows. Modern feel, good menu options. I stayed with trying the Açaí matched with a EBT. Açaí was of course my go to. Good selection of fruits. The mint leaves may not suit everyone but I liked them. Açaí was a little wet for me. Overall very nice. Tea was good with two small cups from the pot. Liked it!!

Excellent service, outstanding healthy meal options, and super tasty salads. Loved the balance of this chicken, bacon and feta salad. Perfect amount of everything and not drowned in dressing. Such fresh juice that was super tasty. Amazing service and friendly staff.
